When choosing a blind for your VELUX window, there are a number of factors you may want to consider that may affect the choice you make.

VELUX Blinds are available in several different types

Each type has different characteristics that you can evaluate here before you buy.

	VELUX Blackout Blinds exclude all daylight from the room, and have a reflective aluminium coating on the rear side to reduce the amount of heat conductivity through the material.
	VELUX Roller Blinds are a lower cost version of the above, the key difference being that the material is semi-opaque, so the effect is of muting the daylight.
	VELUX Venetian Blinds afford great control of the light entering the room, and are probably the most flexible shading solution offered. The blind has high blackout ability when completely closed, and is able to offer a full spectrum of lighting effects with it’s unique tilt mechanism.
	VELUX Pleated Blinds are a subtle range of fabrics which are pretty to look at and allow subdued light into the room.
	VELUX Awning Blinds are the perfect way to stop strong sunlight and heat before it hits the pane on your roof window. This external blind fits discretely undeneath the outer hood section of the roof window and when closed is invisible to the naked eye. When extended to the base of the sash, this cool looking weaved (rot-proof) fabric cuts out the direct rays of the sun and also can reduce the noise of hard rain on the window pane.
	In addition to the above blind types, the VELUX Solar Blackout Blinds also are available with remote control electrical opening, using solar power to keep the batteries charged. This means no ugly wiring, no need for an electrician, and a blind that can be controlled at distance or in high unreachable areas.
